Our film tells his the dramatic and true story of his life - how one man stood up to fight the entire communist system. He admitted to being Jewish and fought for his religious freedom. He won the right to immigrate to the United States and quickly began a remarkable career in Hollywood. But his personal life was filled with drama and loss. He lived a healthy lifestyle, was a vegetarian, and suddenly passed away in San Francisco at the age of 61.

This film revealed information that had never been known and shocked Russian viewers - earning a 27 rating with 42% share of market. Channel One has been airing this film every year since its debut, for the past decade.
